Hello, uh, i might not be suitable to give advice—if you wanna start making music, I wouldn't start off buying expensive things, mostly because you don't wanna waste money on things you don't know how to use yet, I would probably use free, YouTube tutorials, and look at MIDI structures if i could restart music, snd the type of music you wanna make? up to you, it's all about enjoying music production, now, I can't give you an exact tutorial, because I like my style right now, and I'd probably reveal how to make music in my style.
Now, if you have a DAW already, i'd use youtube to search up how to use the DAW, or the inbuilt tutorial, if there is any. but you can just go random, learn what buttons do on the way, because that's what I did, and left many details out from it, well, you should also use the snap to grid, and a scale snapper, so you can make songs without going offkey—now if you wanna make some notes go offkey, use it sparingly, make it sound purposeful, don't just place it anywhere, you might end up with a lot of dissonance.
Well, I'm probably not even qualified to tell you how to make music, best bet is to start easy, simple chord progressions, loops, and slowly try to make your own stuff.
